Stephan Vitus, an industry expert representing ICON Yachts, highlighted the critical importance of meticulous research when selecting the appropriate platform vessel. Speaking at the summit, Vitus emphasized, “It is absolutely fundamental and crucial to find the right platform and clearly understand the brief. What the vessel is supposed to do, which region it is supposed to explore, and which facilities it should be equipped with.” These considerations form the foundation of ICON Yachts’ approach, ensuring that each conversion project meets the unique needs and expectations of their clients.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled “The Secrets of a Successful Conversion” expertly coordinated by Caroline White from BOAT International. Stephan Vitus engaged in a dynamic conversation with esteemed industry figures, including Marie Soliman-Berglund, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Njord by Bergman Design House, and Timur Bozca, CEO and Creative Director of Bozca Design. The panel delved into the intricacies of conversion projects, exploring the incredible possibilities and challenges inherent in transforming vessels into bespoke explorer yachts.
