BOAT INTERNATIONAL - ICON SPECIAL FEATURE

Over the past four years, the newly established Dutch builder ICON Yachts has been publicising the yard's ability to cut cost and building times. The battle cry for the creation of their series of 62.5 metre motor yachts has been to 'design first' and build only when the design is complete, and then to carry out the build with maximum efficiency, using production principles pioneered in the Japanese car industry.
