At ICON Yachts we provide round the clock dedicated project management support. With every project taking shape the Project Manager is involved right from the beginning ensuring optimum communication and project control. To be granted a position as Project Manager at ICON Yachts dictates the highest level of dedication and passion to get it right the first time.

Jan Mark Molenaar
Project Manager Midlandia

Educated in aeronautical engineering because of his interest in composites and light weight constructions.

After his graduation he found a job at a well known engineering company in composites. During this period he got again in touch with his early interest in yachts. In his occupation as project engineer he has done several projects for well known yacht builders and yacht suppliers for the engineering of carbon booms, main masts and passarelles. Becauses he also wanted to know the production side of things and of his practical approach he joined a production company in composites. During this period he was involved with the production of several composite structures for yachts as well as the yachts Ilona IV for which they produced the main and foremast among some smaller items.

Getting more and more into yachts he made a move to another yacht supplier of yacht equipment and became the head of the engineering department and through this he got to know Wim Koersvelt. He made the opportunity available to become involved in the build of a complete yacht as a contract manager which he has done with success for the second Icon Yachts Baton Rouge.

Onno Egtberts
Project Manager

Soon after Onno Egtberts finished his education as a ship building engineer in Haarlem he started working with Koersvelt Yacht Projects. He has been working with most of the mega yacht builders throughout Europe as a supervisor of the complete building of various yachts on behalf of the owner’s side.

Onno joined ICON from the beginning First as the yard’s Quality Assurance Manager. In this function, Onno was responsible fort the quality of the yachts to be high straight from the beginning using the ISO 9001-2008 certified quality control system.

After the quality control system had been successfully introduced he was asked to supervise the After Sales department as well, which forms a perfect combination with Quality Assurance as one sees directly what needs to be improved and what has been right from the start.. After an “intermediate” period of 1,5 years of working at another yard where he broadened his horizons , he now has returned as Project Manager at ICON Yachts.
